POSITION SUMMARY:

HCTec Partners is looking for an Ancillary Application Analyst to join our fast-growing and dynamic team. This position requires expertise in MEDITECH Expanse and related healthcare information technology systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in report writing, ancillary applications such as Radiology (RAD) and Laboratory (LAB), as well as experience with interfaces and HL7 standards. Responsibilities and Duties

• Implement, configure, and maintain MEDITECH Expanse modules, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.

• Develop and customize reports using appropriate tools within the MEDITECH environment to meet end-user requirements and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for system enhancements.

• Provide support for ancillary applications such as Radiology (RAD) and Laboratory (LAB), including troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization.

• Implement and maintain interfaces between MEDITECH Expanse and other healthcare systems using HL7 standards, ensuring seamless data exchange and interoperability.

• Participate in system testing, validation, and quality assurance activities to ensure the reliability and accuracy of implemented solutions.

• Assist in the development and delivery of training materials and sessions for end-users to promote effective utilization of IT systems.

• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to healthcare IT, particularly in the MEDITECH ecosystem.

• Collaborate with IT team members and vendors to resolve technical issues, implement upgrades, and implement new functionalities.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The requirements listed below must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience, and/or ability required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with MEDITECH Expanse, including implementation, customization, and support.

Experience:

• Proficiency in report writing tools within the MEDITECH environment (e.g., NPR Report Writer).

• Strong understanding of ancillary healthcare applications, particularly Radiology (RAD) and Laboratory (LAB) systems.

• Experience with interface development and integration using HL7 standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and security standards relevant to healthcare IT systems, such as HIPAA, etc.

Skills/Knowledge Requirements:

• Language Skills – Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language required.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

• Current, valid driver’s license issued in the state of legal residence required.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., MEDITECH Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus
